This beginning acoustic guitar review is an attempt to lay out all the facts before you- to tell it like it is. Although I have narrowed this review down to a single beginning guitar, my hope is that this acoustic guitar review will give you the information you need to decide if this one is right for you or not. I realize it’s not for everybody and doesn’t fit everyone’s needs. On the other hand, I personally know that over 13,000 beginner guitar seekers have already happily purchased this very guitar so the numbers speak for themselves.

beginning acoustic guitar collage

Having said that, I do not want to mislead you in any way. Of course this isn’t the perfect guitar out there, but I guarantee you it is the most affordable and playable one in the market. Believe me, I have searched far and wide for years and to this day have not found any beginner acoustic guitar that even comes close to this one. Okay, enough of that. Here are the facts and figures:

This is an entry level beginner acoustic guitar or starter guitar which is a student model (it measures just 38 inches in length). It is one inch shorter than your typical full size classical nylon string guitar. These starter guitars have steel strings on them. They are made in China which means they are made inexpensively and imported cheaply into the U.S. It is a no-name brand guitar which means you will save a ton of money since the price is not inflated due to labeling. I realize this is not a top-of-the-line, name brand guitar but that’s why they can be offered to the public for so cheap – under $40!

Here are some reasons why you should consider this guitar to be a smart investment:

1) It’s BRAND NEW! (not an old used guitar that might have ‘hidden’ damage with no warranty and that you can never replace)

2) It’s VERY AFFORDABLE! (where else can you buy a brand new acoustic guitar for under $40 including shipping?)

3) It’s VERY PLAYABLE! (some guitars at this price just sound terrible and don’t stay in tune. Believe me, this one’s different)

4) THE NUMBERS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES! (well over 13,000 parents, students, beginners, and 2nd guitar owners have given praise for these guitars because every one of them already bought one).

Now, any good review will not only point out the good points. Every product has its bad points (or flaws or weaknesses or cons) as well. So let me spell them out for you:

1) It’s MADE IN CHINA! (China sometimes doesn’t get the credit they may deserve for producing quality products. Although these guitars are made very well for the price, you truly get what you pay for. If you want a $100 dollar guitar, you typically get that much more in quality.)

2) It COMES WITH STEEL STRINGS! (I only bring this up because sometimes it’s better to start out with nylon strings since its a little easier on the fingers. However, you do get used to steel strings fairly quickly. Actually, the sooner you toughen up your fingers, the better.)

3) It MAY COME WITH SOME FLAWS! (occasionally you may receive a beginning acoustic guitar with shipping damage, a buzzing fret, or a chord that won’t sound in tune. All I can say is, you are taking a chance sometimes since there are some variables which cannot be controlled such as shipping damage, etc. However, I will say that these come with a 30 day money back guarantee which takes care of that problem. Again, if over 13,000 customers have been pleased with these guitars, there must be something about them that keeps customers coming back.)

4) It’s NOT A LIFELONG INVESTMENT! (don’t think that this is going to be your first and only guitar purchase. Once you get to a certain skill level, and you decide you want to stick with it, you’ll want to upgrade to the best beginning acoustic guitar that you can afford. It will sound better, it will play better, and it will last longer.)

Okay, there you have it – the pros and the cons. I hope this review will help you once and for all to make a decision on whether or not to invest in this guitar or some other one. The skinny of it is, if you’re on a tight budget and want a decent acoustic guitar backed by a 30 day money back guarantee, backed by over 13,000 other owners of these guitars, then I highly recommend you click here to order your guitar. If you decide otherwise, I really appreciate you taking the time to come to this site and at least allowing you to come to some conclusion.

Thanks for stopping by!

Learning acoustic guitar definitely has its challenges. From the choice of the guitar, to the choice of strings, to the choice of guitar instruction, one can easily get overwhelmed and frustrated to say the least. It’s been my experience that the best way to learn to play acoustic guitar is to have someone who knows how to play show you how to play. The very best way is live… in person… face to face. Now I know in tough economic times it’s not too practical to pay upwards of $60-$120 per month for private guitar lessons. If you can do it though, that’s by far THE best way to learn how to play guitar.

If you’re looking for another cheaper alternative to learn to play I would recommend doing it through the aid of an instructional DVD or online video lesson. This is the second best way to learn guitar – by watching someone remotely through DVD or video. You don’t get the personal conversation or feedback as you would live but you at least get the meat of the material being taught. You get the guitar lessons. You can’t ask questions but you can at least pause or rewind an online video or DVD if you’re stuck or need to review a part you don’t understand or need to practice.

Once you own a beginning guitar, this is your next step: to learn to play. How are you going to do that? Where will you start? Well, as I mentioned above, your best two choices in my opinion are learning with a beginning acoustic guitar DVD or online guitar video lessons. Click on this link to check out this DVD or you can click here if you’d rather learn online.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your playing!
